JewelMint review, April 2014

JewelMint is a service that, each month, lets you pick out a piece of jewelry from its collection for $29.99. You can skip a month if you don't see anything that tickles your fancy when selection time rolls around. JewelMint also offers a deal in which new subscribers get half off their first pieces, so I decided to take the company up on that offer. Here's what I chose:

New Directions pendant from the "Found Objects" collection. This is a mid-length necklace whose pendant is a working compass. I love vintage things, so this piece appealed to me. It's got a nice heft, and will look cute with a simple white shirt. Here's a closer view:

I'm very pleased with my purchase, and while I probably won't be ordering a JewelMint piece every month, I'll definitely stay on the subscriber list so that I can treat myself whenever I see something I like!

  1. Just remember that it is a SUBSCRIPTION and you have to opt out on their website in the first 5 days of the month or you will be charged for a $29.95 credit to buy an item with. I'm a member but I don't buy without a sale so I skip each month to avoid the charge. A lot of JM customers don't understand how it works right away and end up with a bunch of credits and $29.95 charges on their CC and get angry, Just wanted to and your readers to avoid any problems.

  2. this piece didn't say 'only @JM' so it's not JM design. I find the pieces they sell that are not 'only @JM' tend to not hold up very well in the long run. It's a cute necklace though!
