Kreation Krate review, August 2014

Name: Kreation Krate
Details: A monthly subscription box for beginning to intermediate crafters. Each box contains all the materials necessary to complete a craft project for yourself and a "kind craft" for someone else.
Price: $26

Kreation Krate is one of the first subscription boxes to arrive on my doorstep every month. Sometimes I receive the shipment a few days before the month even begins! That was the case with my August Kreation Krate, which arrived a few days before the end of July. Can't beat that service!

Let's take a peek.

This was on the box's inside cover. Pretty sure that it's a hint about the project's theme!

Paints, brushes, rocks, easels...

It's a miniature canvas paint set. I love this! It'll be a fun project to complete and display.

The "kind craft" involves painting river rocks to give away to friends, family, and other loved ones. Another cute idea!

----------

Every month, I look forward to receiving Kreation Krate because I know that, without exception, I'll be getting a high-quality craft project that has been thoughtfully conceived of and put together. The boxes are packed full of supplies, and the instructions are well-written and well-illustrated so that anyone, from a novice crafter to an expert, can get in on the fun.

I love my craft-related subscription boxes, so when July's Kreation Krate showed up on my doorstep, I couldn't wait to dig in!

All kinds of goodies! I wonder what this craft could be?

The July Kreation Krate contains everything I'll need to make a hand-stamped necklace! I'm super excited. I received a similar project in a recent Darby Smart shipment, but I love hand-stamped jewelry so much that I'm thrilled to have more supplies with which to make additional necklaces!

This month's "kind craft" is a washer bracelet, which fits perfectly with the "main" craft, and should be a lot of fun to make! I'm going to be tempted to keep this piece myself.

----------

I LOVE that feeling of excitement that I get when I open a newly arrived subscription box and am absolutely thrilled with its contents. I had that feeling this month with Kreation Krate. The company consistently ships high-quality crafts that incorporate a variety of techniques, so there's no chance of getting bored or feeling that one is making the same thing over and over. Can't wait until August!

Kreation Krate review, June 2014

I received my June Kreation Krate in the mail last week, and couldn't wait to take a peek. Kreation Krate is an arts-and-crafts subscription service that, each month, sends out a box containing all the materials you'll need to complete a craft project for yourself and a "kind craft" for someone else. I loved last month's crate, which was an herb starter kit, so I held out high hopes for this month, too.

This is a kit to make a wall hanging!

It also includes instructions on making a magnetic coaster clipboard:

Here's another view of the contents:

The "kind craft" is a pom-pom keychain:

----------

I'll admit that I didn't like this project quite as much as the first one, but still, I think that it'll be a fun activity to tackle. The aesthetic of the wall hanging doesn't really match my home's décor, but I'm sure that I'll find a place for it. I do like the coaster clipboard, though, and I love the pom-pom keychains. Can't wait to give them a try!

Kreation Krate review, April 2014

Kreation Krate is an arts-and-crafts subscription service that, each month, sends out a box containing all the materials you'll need to complete a craft project for yourself and a "kind craft" for someone else. I love crafting, and I like to think of myself as kind, so when I received an offer to purchase the first-ever Kreation Krate for a discounted rate, I did so. Here's what I saw when I opened it:

I loved the sticker on the box's lid; it turned out to be a hint regarding what was inside:

The final reveal:

The box contained all the items necessary to make an herb starter kit! Inside were clay pots, seed packets, chalkboard spray paint (to use on the pots), chalk, stencils, white acrylic paint, a foam brush, etc.

The "kind craft" included in the box was a set of wildflower seed balls (the bright spheres that you see in the photo above). They're meant to be tied into pieces of burlap and given away to family, friends, or strangers. The Kreation Krate also came with instructions to create a recycled gift using the supplies that I received for the other crafts.

----------

So, what did I think of Kreation Krate? I loved it! I thought that the idea of creating and gifting flower-based crafts was a fantastic one, especially for spring. I can't wait to get started. I also thought that the value was excellent for what I received (each box costs $26), and that the packaging and presentation were excellent. I'll definitely be sticking around as a subscriber.
