Stitch Fix review, May 2014

Oh my gosh, ladies, my newest Stitch Fix was AMAZING. I'm in a pickle, because I can't afford to keep everything in it, even though I want to. (I have to save money for the May Golden Tote, after all.) Here's what I received, what I'm returning, what I'm planning to keep, and what I'm agonizing over in terms of whether or not to keep it.

1. Ethen Patchwork Detail Boyfriend Jean ($88)--I really, really want to keep these. They're comfortable, they fit perfectly, and I love the patchwork detailing. I can't rationalize spending almost 90 dollars on a pair of jeans, though. Still, they're really cute. I'll just hold onto them for a few days and try them on every so often before I return them.

2. Huebert Space Dye Open Cardigan ($58). At first, I didn't think I would like this cardigan because I'm not a big fan of cardis with drapey openings. I really like this one, though. The material is soft and lightweight, so I don't feel like I'm wearing a huge mound of fabric at the front. I also like that I can dress this up for work, or wear it with a pair of jeans. This is a "maybe."

3. Isaac Floral Print Tab-Sleeve Blouse ($58). I'm keeping this one. For sure. I love the color (I'm a big fan of green), and the floral print is so pretty. Done!

4. Maddox Sheer Shoulder Tie-Dye Knit Shirt ($78). I love this shirt, too, but it's a little pricey. I think it's gonna be a "no." Again, though, I like the color, and the top is very comfortable.

5. Corinna Striped Heathered Dolman Top ($48). Oh, Stitch Fix, why are you doing this to me? I really like this top. As with all the others, it's comfy, and can be dressed up or down. Decisions, decisions...

----------

Last month's Stitch Fix was a near-total miss for me, but this month's was a total win. If the price points were a little lower on a few of the items, I would probably buy everything. However, even with the 25-percent discount I'd get for purchasing all five items, I'd still be paying $250. I'm definitely keeping the floral top, and will sit on the rest (metaphorically, not literally) for a few days while I decide what else to buy. If you have any thoughts to help make my decision easier, please let me know! And if you're new to Stitch Fix and want to sign up for your own monthly "fix," use my referral link so that I can get money to buy clothes! Here it is: Stitch Fix subscription link. For $20, Stitch Fix will send you a box of five accessories or articles of clothing that a stylist chooses based on a profile that you submit. You decide which items to keep, pay for them (you can subtract the 20 bucks that you paid upfront), and then return the rest within three days. Easy-peasy!

    1. Thanks for the input! I almost feel like getting a good Stitch Fix is as bad as getting a sub-par one because of the temptation factor. I want to buy everything this month, but my bank account is disagreeing with me on that one :)
